Is eating less often the same as eating smaller portions?

The short answer is NO. It’s actually worse. Controlling your portion sizes is vital to your weight loss journey. Maintaining a calorie deficit (burning more calories than you are taking in), is the driving force behind weight loss. Just like you CANNOT outwork a bad diet, you cannot outwork bad habits. Suppressing your hunger is NOT the answer. It will in fact slow your metabolism, making it harder to burn calories when you actually eat. It also promotes over-eating. As you problem have noticed, when you go longer without eating, you tend to eat one very large meal, then you’re stuffed. So stuffed that another 6-8 hours go by before you eat again. It’s a habit you need to break. I know most of us have busy lives, but we have to make time for eating. MAKE IT HAPPEN !!!!
